Sunday 'Club Rides'

Every Sunday morning throughout the year except when there is a special event or Morning Time Trial, we meet at 8.00am for the weekly club ride with a stop for elevenses at a cafe.

Sportives are defined as "a long-distance road cycling event in which a large number of cyclists ride a marked route. With distances from 30 to over 100 miles and often fully supported there is an option for everyone to enjoy"

Time Trials

Time trialling is the simplest of competitive formats: a race against the clock. With riders starting a minute apart, it's known as the 'race of truth' because there's nowhere to hide, no one to draft behind; just you, the bike and the thumping of your heart. Oh, and a clock ticking...

Sunday Club Rides – 18th February 2018

Sunday Club Ride

The usual Sunday club ride will be leaving the Pink Pub at 9am. Using the standard BRCC Sunday format and route to Stansted with a stop at Tangmere to meet anyone joining us there.

If the group is sufficient, there will be the opportunity for us to split at Lavant and for some to take a more challenging (faster and hillier) route to Stansted. We anticipate that the split group will be setting a pace of between 18-20 and will proceed without break to Stanstead to re-join the rest for coffee and cake. Please make sure you can maintain this pace before joining them. If you have any doubts please speak to one of the group leaders beforehand.

For everyone this should be a social, hopefully fun ride, please don't think you are not fit, too slow etc. ALL are welcome, so don't be shy.

Club ride format will be observed, so no-one left behind, mechanical assistance given if required and a relaxed/steady Sunday morning pace.

Although assistance will be given with any mechanical issues, please bring a basic repair kit with you including a spare tube, pump and tyre levers. If you're not sure, have a chat with any of the regular members while you're out with us to see what they would recommend you include.

We do try to keep the web page up to date but please check our Facebook group page for any last-minute changes.

Whether it’s the 9am club ride, sportive, training or any one of the other events taking place this weekend here’s hoping for good weather, may the wind always be behind you and the puncture fairies be on holiday. Have a great weekend and be safe.

Established in 1936

The club has a long and rich history in the local area. We cater for all standards of cycling, from beginner to veteran.

Whether you just want to get more from your cycling in a safe and friendly environment. Explore some of the wonderful local countryside with other likeminded people who will look out for each other and encourage you to do more whilst keeping a realistic pace and achievable goals.

Perhaps you want to develop more advanced cycling activities such as longer sportives riding or to enter the competitive Time Trial and Road Racing scene.

Whatever your ability is now and whatever your aim is for the future, if it's cycling related, then BRCC will always offer a warm welcome and try to help you to achieve what you want in a friendly and supportive way. Of course, cake and coffee during that journey is optional!

See our 'Club Rides' page for more details on our weekly organised rides.

Club Sponsored Charity for 2017

Bognor Regis Cycling Club, Is raising money throughout 2017 for Pancreatic Cancer UK because it's a great cause that needs our support. Last year, our club's president Dave Prior, a much loved family man and a great friend to all who knew him especially in the world of cycling, passed away after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. He had dedicated his life to his family and working tirelessly for many local and national charities.

As a club we have decided to take this year to raise as much money as we can to towards this cause in his honour.

Pancreatic Cancer UKJust Giving Link

We have set up a JustGiving page ( ) so that donations can be made in a simple and easy way. But please give generously to the tea and coffee funds at all our events through the season.

Huge well done to Kelly who won the first ladies race in the Goodwood Classic series of this year. Honourable mentions to the others who also rode so well for BRCC - Aaron, Bex, and Liam.

New Club TT Record

Club Member Dave Patten just pipped Deputy Chairman Richard Miles record time for the Club Age record for 10 miles with a time of 22.05.

turbo night

Thursday Night is Turbo Night!

Thursday Evening Turbo Torture Returns!! Yes, its that time of the year again when the nights draw in, the shorts turn to tights and Christmas starts to loom.

Now you can safely let the hairs grow back on your legs, stop apologising for how dirty your bike is because it will now always be dirty and that nagging summer cold that prevented a PB will quite legitimately become winter flu.

So, put all your ailments aside, dust off the turbo, roll out the sweat mat and trip on down to Eastergate Hall.

The usual format - gates open at 6.30, all in and ready to start by 7.00, wind down and finish by 8.00.

This hour of fun is offered free to any member of BRCC and charged at only £3 for non-members
